My birthday is coming up! I am a big fan of birthdays. In my class, we make a birthday gift wish book for the birthday student. I love this idea! I got it from Angela over at
Hippo Hooray for Second Grade! {LOVE her!} We also do a birthday chant that I stumbled across when I was Googling an alternative to Happy Birthday!
I'm not sure who the author of this chant is, but my students and I love it! I print this in color and laminate it as the cover of the birthday book. I then place all of the student birthday wishes inside the book and send home as a keepsake! I also give the birthday student a paper balloon {cut out by my Cricut ;) } and a pencil.
So, now it's my turn! My students are all anticipating a big celebration for me, but, unfortunately for them {and oh, so fortunately for me!!} my birthday is during Thanksgiving break! We'll probably do the birthday chant on Friday and snap somewhere between 30 and 40 times!
